Anastacia Unveils the True Motive Behind Her Iconic Colored Glasses trucc

Anastacia has revealed the real reason that she always wears her trademark coloured glasses.

The singer, 56, is always seen with her striking eyewear - even when she is busy performing on stage.

And in a new interview she spoke about how they are actually corrective colour glasses for her poor eyesight which she has struggled with since childhood.

She also told how she bonded with close pal Elton John - who also wears colour tinted glasses - over the accessory.

Speaking to The Independent she said: 'Elton John always made me feel like I'm cool too if I wear glasses!'

Anastacia sadly revealed that for photoshoots and music videos she was always told by those in charge to 'take them off'.

She would tell photographers: 'If you had to take off your pants, would you be comfortable? That's how I feel.

'You wanna see my eyes, but I wanna see you too. If that's going to make a difference, then we don't have a photoshoot.'

It comes after last month Loose Women fans were left moved by Anastacia's two-word verdict on her cancer battle that involved 16 surgeries.

The pop icon was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003, aged 34, and then again a decade later.

While chatting to Christine Lampard, Brenda Edwards, Coleen Nolan and Jane Moore, her health came up.

Anastacia said: 'When I got it the second time I decided to do the mastectomy, that means it's all gone.

'I made a very, very hard choice early and the minute the surgery was complete, I never worried about it again.

'I did have 15 more surgeries  after that surgery to get to where I was complete, but who cares?'

She poignantly signed off: 'I won!'

Brenda then admitted she had one and had a mastectomy after being diagnosed with stage three breast cancer when she found a lump.

However the singer's diagnosis was a little different - as she found out she had cancer whilst getting a boob reduction.

Anastacia, full name Anastacia Lyn Newkirk, said: 'It was too much I was very self conscious, singing, being on stage and feeling like 'look at my voice' and then I was like 'here's my abs... look at those!' Focus somewhere else.

'Eventually I had the money and I had six weeks off.

'This is literally my headspace. Let's get a breast reduction.

'My friends were like, 'everybody is getting them bigger... you're getting them smaller.'

'Look at the way the universe worked.

'I found calcifications. It was early enough not to get chemo, but I was young enough that I couldn't take the Tamoxifen.

'It was like a perfect storm. Then years later to that month it came back again.

'I had already made that decision if I was lucky enough again to get it early, they're going.

'I know that's a hard road to go down for a woman, I just wanted to win with cancer, and I won.'

Earlier on in the chat, Brenda made it very clear she was a huge fan of the singer and they belted out Left Outside Alone.

And those watching at home were obsessed with the duo.

'Brenda! Just blew her away and did the voice spot on lol ! Ha ha ace! #loosewomen

Another chimed in: 'Brenda is a great singer #LooseWomen.'

In 2013 it was revealed that the star had undergone a double mastectomy.

She had to cancel her European tour at the time after finding out her diagnosis.

Anastacia said in a statement: 'In light of Breast Cancer Awareness Month l wanted to take the opportunity to support a cause particularly close to my heart.

'l was diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time earlier this year and am currently in the final stages of recovery after undergoing a double mastectomy.'

She added: 'It has been an intense journey but l am feeling great and ready to start the next chapter.

'Breast Cancer Awareness Month gives all who are facing this disease a chance to gain strength and support from each other.

'Early detection has saved my life twice. I will continue to battle and lend my voice in anyway I can.'
