Alison Hammond Shuts Down the Idea of Her Son Auditioning for Love Island: 'Absolutely Not!' trucc

   

The presenter admitted she thought her son was too young to appear on the ITV dating show

Alison Hammond appeared on Loose Women as she shared her response to finding out that her son wanted to audition for Love Island.

The 50-year-old presenter can usually be seen side by side with Dermot O'Leary on This Morning, but on Friday (13th June) Alison had a quick change of scenery as she showed up to the Loose Women studio.

With ITV's dating show, Love Island, having returned for its latest series, there's no chance that viewers can expect to see Alison's son Aiden walk into the villa any time soon.

She admitted: "He has auditioned for the show, and they wanted him for that show. I advised him to do it later on."

Continuing to explain what she told her son, Alison added: "'If you really need to do it Aiden, do it when you're a little bit older,' because he was only 19 at that time.

 

"I just think it's too young - I just think he can do it when he's a little bit older."

20-year-old Aidan is Alison's only child from her relationship with former fiancé Noureddine Boufaied, before the pair split in 2014.

Since then, the mother and son duo have their own TV series, Alison Hammond's Florida Unpacked. The BBC show follows the pair around Florida for a family adventure and exploring ways to experience the state without breaking the bank.

With the star first finding fame on Big Brother in 2002, and she previously reflected: "It's unbelievable. When you like look back, that chain of events was so correct for me. If I'd won it, I don't think my life would have gone in the same direction. I'm just so grateful to Big Brother."

However, she's already turned down the possibility of returning to the series, as she shared: "I just got asked and I said no.

"Yeah, they asked me and I said no, I wouldn't do it again. I just think I've done it, haven't I?"

This year's Celebrity Big Brother was filled with controversy after Hollywood star Mickey Rourke was asked to leave the Big Brother house for making "homophobic comments" towards singer JoJo Siwa.

He also had an aggressive altercation with Love Island star Chris Hughes, and made an inappropriate remark to The Only Way Is Essex's Ella Rae-Wise.
