Alison Hammond took a break from her This Morning duties to grace the Loose Women set on Friday (13 June), where she became the talk of the day with her lively guest appearance. The 50 year old presenter, who had earlier co-hosted This Morning alongside Dermot O'Leary, joined Kaye Adams, GK Barry, Judi Love, and Nadiya Sawalha on Loose Women for a candid discussion.

During the conversation, she delved into topics ranging from her hit new BBC series to her son Aidan's alleged Love Island stint, not to mention her astonishing physical transformation. Alison discussed her significant weight loss with a blend of humour and humility, referring to herself as having "deflated" as she spoke about being a role model and influence to younger people.

"You know what, all I can do is be me. I can't do anything else. I'm not trying to pretend to be anything. I'm a Brummie girl, through and through," she remarked cheerfully.

"I'm a black, big, bubbly woman. Who is slowly deflating a little bit! I've lost a few pounds here and there!"

Her comments were met with a wave of applause, prompting her to jest, "It's been hard, it's been hard!"

She followed up with a sincere note mentioning: "But, it's a lovely feeling actually. I'm aware that youngsters look towards me."

Over recent months, the television sensation has shared her progress in dropping from nearly 30st (190kg) down to a remarkable 16.5st (104kg), attributing this fantastic turnaround to disciplined workouts with her personal trainer and a sensible diet, reports Belfast Live.

She has previously opened up about the shock of discovering she was pre-diabetic, describing the diagnosis as "frightening" and a catalyst for her to overhaul her lifestyle. She has since triumphantly declared that she is no longer pre-diabetic.

In another segment of her Loose Women interview, Alison quashed speculation about her son Aidan joining ITV2's Love Island, emphatically stating to the panel: "Absolutely not!"

Yet, the single mother, who shares her son with former partner Noureddine Boufaied, conceded that Aidan, now 20, had tried out for the famed dating programme at 19. Despite this, she cautioned him against joining the show, suggesting he wait until he's older if he still harbours ambitions to be on it.

Reflecting on her bond with Aidan, she shared that he turns to her when he "needs help" and that her goal is to offer him unwavering "consistency".

Loose Women airs on weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV1
