Alexa Landestoy Embraces Motherhood: Announces Maternity Leave to Welcome Baby Girl, Prioritizing Precious Moments trucc

Alexa Landestoy is officially on baby watch. Friday night, the Monumental Sports Network host announced she was going on maternity leave to deliver her first child.

“We’re just a few short days away from welcoming our baby girl!” Landestoy said on X. “I’ll be stepping away for a bit to soak up every moment.”

Landestoy’s leave comes as the Capitals have a weekend home and home against the Columbus Blue Jackets this weekend. Saturday’s game in Columbus will air on national television (ABC), while Sunday’s game at Capital One Arena will be on Monumental Sports Network. The Capitals have only two games remaining in the regular season after that, with away games against the New York Islanders on Tuesday and the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday before the playoffs start.

Landestoy also filmed a thank you video explaining her situation at the beginning of April.

“It’s been an exciting season for the Capitals and an exciting season for my husband and I as we are expanding our family,” Landestoy said in the video. “I’m sure you can tell from my growing belly that very soon, we are expecting our newest addition. That means I’ll be taking some time away. But I just wanted to thank you incredible Capitals fans for the amount of love and support that I’ve received, from the messages to most genuine baby gifts and baby blankets, baby girl is already so spoiled and from top to bottom our entire family here at Monumental Sports Network, they’ve supported me one hundred percent through this entire journey and I can’t thank them enough. I’ll be back when I’m ready, but I know one thing is for sure, that baby girl will have her red on deck hoping for a very long Stanley Cup run.”

Alan May remarked during the “The Gr8 City Celebration” at Capital One Arena on Friday that Alexa would have likely hosted the event over him if she wasn’t getting ready to deliver.
